Bio:

Brisbane artist Gabe Parker, works primarily in steel.  Here he finds inspiration in the rawness of the medium and the natural spaces in Moreton Bay where he resides. Creativety and the act of always "making" has been a lifelong theme. He now draws on a range of creative fields including photography, generative music and field recordings from his travels abroard into his current practice. Parker's large steel pieces, though imposing, delicately interact with viewers, emphasizing movement and weight.

Parker regularly contributes to Brisbane's arts scene through exhibiting and performing and as a sculpture tutor at the Brisbane Institute of Art.
